The story
Two golden eyes and a blazing yellow beak burn out of a field of white, lilac and storm-grey squares. The eagle is reduced to its essentials — and loses none of its ferocity.
Up close it is pure geometry, a quilt of flat colour; step back and the grid sharpens into a stare that could spot you from a mountain top.
