The story
A blackbird perched beneath orange dot-suns, in a night of cobalt, turquoise and violet. The ornamental halo of points owes as much to folk embroidery as to Seurat.
Painted on paper at an intimate scale, it is a small song of a painting — the first notes of a blackbird at dusk.
